Childhood finds interest in the minute details of the humdrum life. The bright red colored ladybug dotted with tiny black spots could easily leave kids intrigued. Here are the instructions to help them replicate the creature on canvas.
Make an oval with your pencil. Divide it into two halves by a straight line drawn vertically. This makes the body covered with a pair of wings.
For the head, draw an arc on top of the oval.
Make a pair of antennae come out of the forehead.
Sketch a triplet of circles on the wings. The bottom most one should not be a complete circle, just an arc.
Draw the first couple of legs on either side. Note that they have a fold in the middle.
Similarly, give shape to the next pair of slender legs. They open up more than the first pair.
The tip of the last pair of legs point downwards, unlike the previous sets.
Your sketch is now complete. Pick up your color pencils and splash on a bright red for the wings. All other parts look sharp in a deep black shade.
Add a feather to your cap by sketching this attractive creature to perfection. The steps are simple and allow you to hone your basic drawing skills.
